Bobby Brown

The life of music superstar Bobby Brown was one of triumph, tragedy and, ultimately, survival. Getting his start with First Edition back in the 1980s, Brown was the "King of New Jack Swing,” fusing hip-hop, dance pop, and R&B. For A&E’s landmark biography of this iconic performer, we harkened back to this era, creating a graphics package with exuberant day-glo colors, bold typographies, as well as graphic motifs suggestive of some of the impending darkness behind all the fun.
