ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE

Designed to ignite the imaginations of passionate fans and set the stage for the upcoming film, this promotional piece takes the idea of the “Motherboxes'' from the film and uses them as a canvas to explore the living history of the titular team’s six core superheroes. Working closely with Zack Snyder, we sculpted classical reliefs containing religious and mythic iconography for the characters. Effects like rain, snow, caustics and embers provided an added layer of atmosphere for each scene. The sequence is set to Tom Waits’ song “Time,'' bringing further meaning and emotion to the piece as viewers are taken on a journey through a shifting landscape filled with easter eggs and deep symbolism. This journey ends with the Motherboxes as they fuse together in the “unity”, exploding outward to reveal the title.
