The Deliverance

The Deliverance tells the story of a single mother who finds herself in a spiritual battle for her faith, life and the souls of her children - a battle that could have deadly consequences. We were approached to create a title sequence that would bring audiences into the film, setting up the tone and world of the film. While we wanted to set up the demonic and horror aspects of the story, we were also sure to establish the drama and family dynamics. To do this, we utilized a mural, an iconic image from the film representing notes of optimism as seen through one of the children. The painting represents the family’s new start, but as we travel across it, we find something festers beneath.
