Verizon Web AR

yU+co collaborated with mcgarrybowen, New York to create an AR activation promoting Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband technology. The digital experience launched via a Sunday NY Times stand-alone ad promoting Medivis, a healthcare technology company that is leveraging augmented reality and artificial intelligence to “see inside” the body and detect what was previously undetectable. A QR code in the print ad took mobile device users to a URL where an MRI of an actual patient’s skull was transformed into a 3D interactive experience. Users were able to rotate the skull and “pinch and zoom” inside to reveal the patient’s tumor in the same way Medivis uses 3D mixed reality to assist doctors during surgery. yU+co’s partnership with mcgarrybowen on this Verizon 5G campaign represents a new way to simultaneously engage with brands through both traditional and new media.
