Working in collaboration with Amazon Games, we were excited to create this trailer promoting the definitive edition of New World: Aeternum. Originally a PC exclusive experience, the goal of this piece was to introduce the game’s vast open world, supernatural characters, and thrilling new features to a broader audience of console gamers. Our creative journey involved meticulously crafting highly polished CG scenes and seamlessly intercutting them with gameplay footage. The result is a visually stunning and immersive experience that captures the essence of Aeternum’s enchanting landscapes and epic battles.
Descending from the clouds above, the trailer guides viewers down to find a stylized, metaphorical map of Aeternum, showcasing the island’s key locations. Passing by ominous shipwrecks, mysterious monuments, and epic desert pyramids, our journey across the island evokes the sense of mystery and adventure that awaits gamers. The interplay between each scene with matching gameplay is designed to highlight the dynamic action and iconic environments of the game in a new and interesting light. We also used our CG vignettes to feature new additions to the game and key viewer takeaways, such as weapons and exclusive wolf-mounts. The sequence culminates in an epic pull back across the map opening up to an expansive vista of the island syncing perfectly with marketing key art before landing on the game’s iconic logo.
